PRIVACY POLICY & DATA PROTECTION NOTICE FOR CUSTOMERS

This Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) sets out the basis on which Immigration Singapore Official (ISO) or its partners (“we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process personal data of our customers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”). This Notice applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organisations we have engaged to collect, use, disclose, or process personal data for our purposes.

PERSONAL DATA

As used in this Notice:

  • “Customer” means an individual who (a) has contacted us through any means to find out more about any goods or services we provide, or (b) may, or has, entered into a contract with us for the supply of any goods or services.
  • “Personal data” means data, whether true or not, about a customer who can be identified: (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

Examples of personal data we may collect include name, email address, telephone number, etc., depending on your interaction with us.

Other terms used in this Notice shall have the meanings given to them in the PDPA (where the context permits).

COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

We generally do not collect your personal data unless:

  • It is provided voluntarily by you or your authorised representative, after being notified of the purposes for which the data is collected and giving written consent;
  • Or where such collection and use is permitted or required by law.

We may collect and use your personal data for purposes including:

  1. Performing obligations in connection with the provision of requested goods/services;
  2. Managing your relationship with us;
  3. Processing payment or credit transactions;
  4. Any other purposes you have provided the information for.

We may disclose your personal data:

  1. As required for fulfilling our services;
  2. To third party providers and agents we’ve engaged;
  3. Disclaimer: By submitting this form, you agree to the use of your personal/non-personal details by us and authorised third parties including financial institutions and insurers. Our data collection includes leads from Facebook, Google, social media, and second-party data.

By registering and submitting your details, you consent to the use of your personal data for the stated purposes and communications related to such purposes by ISO and our partners. You confirm the accuracy of the data and have obtained consent from any other individual whose data you provide.

WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT

Your consent remains valid until withdrawn in writing. To withdraw, please write or email our Data Protection Officer. We will process your request within 30 business days and inform you of any implications, including service limitations. You may revoke your withdrawal in writing.

Note: Withdrawal does not affect data use where collection is legally permitted.

ACCESS AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

To access or correct your personal data, submit a written or email request to our Data Protection Officer. A reasonable fee may apply. We aim to respond within 30 business days and will inform you if delays occur.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We employ administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Minimised data collection
  • Secure media disposal
  • Web security
  • Regular reviews and testing

However, internet transmission is not entirely secure. We strive to protect your data and improve our security practices.

ACCURACY OF PERSONAL DATA

We rely on you to ensure your data is current and accurate. Please inform us of any updates.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We retain personal data as long as necessary for its purpose or as required by law. When no longer needed, data will be securely disposed of or anonymised.

TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE OF SINGAPORE

We generally do not transfer data abroad. If we do, your consent will be obtained, and protections in line with PDPA will be ensured.
